Preschool Hours

SJN  Preschool operates from August through May and classes are held Monday-Friday from 8:45 a.m. to 1:00p.m. In addition, we offer early care Monday-Friday from 8:00-8:45 and extended care Monday-Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

We also offer a summer program that runs from June-August (Registration starts in January each preschool year).

We find that children benefit most from the program if your arrival and departure time adhere closely to our hours of 8:45 a.m. arrival to 1:00 p.m. or 2:30 p.m. (extended day). Children form playgroups at the beginning of the day. A child who is late may feel left out. Also, prompt drop off and pick up ensures continual teacher-class interaction.
 
Teachers or assistants will release students only to authorized persons listed on the information sheet. Staff will ask individuals for proof or proper identification (current driver’s license). Please call the school if you will be delayed so that your child can be assured that you have contacted the office and will pick them up shortly.
 
Parents must accompany their child/ren to the door of the classroom and the parent must sign in on the sign-in/sign-out sheet that is posted outside the classroom. Please keep children with you at all times. The hallways get busy and children can become confused if they are separated. Do not allow children to leave the building without you. The parking lot is very busy.

 Late Pickup Fee

There is a late pickup fee of a $1.00 per minute for each child left after 1:00 pm that are not signed up for extended care with advance notice. If there is space available for extended day the child/ren will be moved to and you will be billed with monthly tuition. Extended care is not available on Fridays.

Extended Care:
We offer a variety of activities each week. We offer cooking, arts/ crafts, music, and movement.
